Fuel and maintenance
Track fuel, expenses, servicing and mileage. For each fill-up, you can record the volume, price per litre and whether you filled the tank completely.
Fuel, servicing, insurance: MyCarCost keeps your car expenses together and helps you see how much you spend over time.
Open testing is now available: follow the Google Play link to join and install the app. This is a test version, and your feedback helps me improve it.
Record an expense, find it when you need it and track the cost of running your vehicles. You can now try MyCarCost through open testing on Google Play.

The overview brings together total spending, monthly average, cost per kilometre and fuel economy. Choose a period and see how your expenses break down by category.
Each vehicle has its own history. You can set up to two fuel types, such as petrol and LPG, and track their fill-ups separately.
Customise categories and save the places you use most. Entries you have already used can be deactivated without losing their links to your history.
You can import entries from Excel or CSV and review them before confirming. Importing keeps existing entries and skips recognised duplicates. You can also export entries to Excel to view them on a computer or keep a copy.
MyCarCost works without an account and stores your data in the app’s private storage. I do not receive your records and cannot access them remotely. The app contains no advertising or usage analytics.
Android backup is allowed by default. You can turn it off under Settings → Backup and privacy → Android backup. It also depends on your phone’s settings and does not necessarily save every change straight away. Turning it off excludes your records from future backups made through this mechanism, but does not delete earlier copies.
Full details about backups, exported files and deletion are in the MyCarCost privacy policy.
The calculation uses full-tank-to-full-tank fill-ups, taking partial fill-ups into account. With two fuel types, km/L figures are only indicative: the odometer cannot distinguish how far you drove on each fuel.
MyCarCost is in open testing: you can join and install the test version through the Google Play link. If something does not work or you have a suggestion, get in touch. To read about how the project began, see the first MyCarCost article.
