Android workshop

My Android apps

These are the projects I work on in my spare time. Here you will find a short introduction to each one and updates on development. MyCarCost is already available through open testing on Google Play.

Maps and augmented reality

GeoSpotter AR

GeoSpotter AR grew out of a wish to put names to the places around us. The app brings together a map, radar and camera to identify towns and points of interest. I am working on place search and the augmented reality view.

Android Future project Personal finance

Plan first, record later

MyBudgetPlanner

A monthly budget that brings together planned and actual spending. The aim is to answer a simple question: how much can I still spend without losing sight of the rest of the month?

  • Monthly budgets, income, expenses and recurring items
  • Support for actual credit card billing cycles
  • Local data, with no connection to bank accounts
My approach

How the work progresses

I work on these projects in my spare time, one piece at a time. I try features on my phone and revisit anything that feels awkward. MyCarCost is in open testing; I will share progress on the other apps on the blog.
